Sunday, May 18, as Alfred State College honored its 97th graduating
class.
Dr.
John M. Anderson, college president, presided over the ceremony.
At this year's ceremony, Alfred State presented
an honorary doctorate to Amory Houghton, Jr., former United States
congressman.

Two Alfred State College students were recently named

Alfred State College recently hosted the Microsoft
"digital dorm room" (DDR), a program designed to bring new technology and
solutions directly to colleges and universities across the United States.

The Digital Dorm Room is actually a model of a cool technology-enabled
dorm room built into a truck. Live product demonstrations
Alfred State College sponsored a "Get Your Ad Running" video contest during the just-completed spring semester. Using Alfred State College's tag line "Hit the Ground Running," contestants created a 30-second video showing why Alfred State College is the best place to get an education.
