Okay, now its time to tell you all about my second day in Barcelona! Our day started off a little shaky - We ran into some rainy weather. Luckily Barcelona has a really great place to go when it is raining outside: The Aquarium!
I am so sorry that it has been so long since my last post, due to the European ‘backpacking’ lifestyle that I lived for the past week, I simply could not find the means to post blogs during my travels of Europe. As I had promised in my last blog post, I will now take the opportunity to tell you all about my travels during spring break during my next several blog posts. I hope you enjoy hearing about my travels as much as I enjoyed living them!
Thanks so much for checking out my blog this week! We have finally reached the middle of the semester already, time flies in Europe! Me and some friends have lots of travel plans for over spring break, which I can't wait to tell you about! I may or may not have access to a computer while I am travelling, but don't worry -- I will be sure to tell you all about my travels once I return to Sorrento!
Hope you are all doing well! My fiancee just came to visit me over the past several days in Sorrento, and she was very impressed with this amazing Italian town. I have told her all about Sorrento and all its wonderful features, and she was still blown away by all that Sorrento had to offer.
Sorry about my last blog, I got a little carried away talking about my engagement, but can you blame me? Everything was just so perfect, it was hard to not rant about it!
But as for the rest of the trip, Meg (my fiancee) and I got to see some of the best buildings and sights that Paris had to offer us. We were able to see the Palace of Versailles, the Arc de Triomphe, The Sacre Coeur, The Pompidou Center, The Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Paris Opera House, all in one day! And we had to time to get engaged on top of that -- talk about a busy weekend!
Sorry I haven't written a blog in a while, you will come to find that I have had a very busy weekend! This past weekend, my girlfriend Meg and I went to Paris, France!
For about two weeks prior to this trip, I decided on a whim that I wanted to propose to Meg on the Eiffel Tower, because I just know that she is the perfect woman for me. Sorry I couldn't tell you guys about it before hand, I had to keep it a secret from just about everyone!
Today was a very exciting day for our 2011 study abroad class of ASC - we went on our very first official class field trip! One of the classes we are taking in at Sorrento Lingue is Archaeology, which is instructed by Ilaria Tartaglia, who is very passionate about Italy's extensive and exciting history. She also works on excavations at Pompeii - I would say she is very over-qualified to be our teacher!
This week have been a good week, and the weather just makes it so much better. What a nice day it has been today. It was almost 50 degrees! Too bad that it won't stay that way for long. Oh well, at least we could enough it while it lasted.
I know that it is difficult to pay for your college education and there are a few ways around that. This week in our Student Announce there was a message about two scholarships that were being offered. We have these opportunities from time to time and everyone should take advantage, it will really help you out in the long run.
