Volunteering in Mississippi

This last week we had 3 students from last year's program return and volunteer with us. We got a lot of work done on the house and everyone had a great time. A prank war developed involving toilet paper, string-in-a-can, cellophane, and plastic rats. (see 1st photo). One of the returning students rented a paddle board and was out in the bay when he was visited by a pod of dolphins.

Yesterday, we went to the Stellis Space Center. They have a great bus tour and we saw where the shuttle engines were all tested, the locks and canal systems that were used to barge the engines in from the gulf and heard the history of Stellis with NASA. They also have a museum and we got a close look at some of the actual components used in space flights.

This will be our last week in Mississippi and I think everyone is looking forward to New Orleans. Bay St Louis is a beautiful little town, but we have run out of things to do and places to explore.
