The last two weeks of the semester are always the busiest. All of the professors seem to dump all of their final projects or tests on us all at the same time and having them due on the same day. One good thing about that though, is that after everything is completed and handed in you receive the largest feeling of accomplishment.
It is that time of the year again: SOS is recruiting new members for the spring semester. Not only is the club looking for new members who are looking to make a difference in the community, it is also looking for a new treasurer. I will have to step down from my position at the end of this semester. I highly recommend it. I had a good time meeting a lot of new people and making friends, but also I learned a lot about how difficult it is to run a club.
I thought that the first open house was a huge success. Everything ran smoothly as far as I know and there was a large turnout. For those of you who didn't attend because you are unsure about what open house is, I recommend that you attend even if you are simply considering Alfred State and have many other choices above it.
Sorry about my blog last week. I was a week ahead of myself, the open house is this Sunday. I hope that there is a good turnout and I get to meet a lot of new people who are interested in the school. I am really sad though because I will have to miss the Taste of Wellsville on Sunday because I will be giving tours at the open house.
Well today marks the end of the of the first half of the semester. Can you believe that? It seems like this semester is just flying by. Last week, I had 3 tests (2 in the same day). Talk about a busy week of studying. They were returned this week and I did really well on all three!
Can you believe that this is my fourth year at Alfred State and this is the first homecoming weekend that I have attended. Well, I would have to say that this weekend was a huge success. I had such a good time that I wish that I would have stayed all my other years here. I am kind of upset about not winning a raffle basket, but you can't win them all huh? (Just kidding...)
I know that this was awhile ago, but I just saw an announcement about it and thought that it would be something beneficial to talk about to show how much Alfred State College cares about the community.

Well here are are again, back at Alfred State College. This is a bittersweet beginning of the semester for me however, because it will be my last semester on campus. It seems like such a long road before you start college, but in the long run it all pays off. I will let you know what I am feeling when it comes closer to the time for me to leave
