George Porter has been around wrestling mats in the southern tier for the past twenty years. He has been at the helm of the program for the past nine seasons and with the program the past ten seasons.

In his nine years as head coach the Pioneers have an 27-43-1 dual meet record, have had 36 wrestlers compete at the NJCAA National Championships, and had five wrestlers named All-American. Porter also was named Region III Coach of the Year during the 2005-06 season.

Porter is a retiree from Dresser-Rand. He and his wife Pat live in Hornell.
