Wrestling
The Pioneers wrestling program has grown into a Region III championship contender year after year. The Pioneers have finished as the Region III runner-ups twice in the past seven years and have won two WNYAC championships in the past eight years.
During the 2011-12 season, the Pioneers had two wrestlers qualify for the NJCAA National Championships. Four wrestlers earned All-Region and two were named All-WNYAC. As a team the Pioneers were 5th at the Northeast Districts and tied for 33rd at the Nationals.

The Alfred State wrestling team got back on the winning track with a 28-20 victory over Jamestown CC on Wednesday evening. The Pioneers are now 2-5 on the year.
Travis Harvey (Alfred Almond) led the Alfred State wrestling contingent at the Mt. Union Purple Raider Open on Sunday. Harvey and the Pioneers were one of 21 teams that competed in the non-scoring event.
The Alfred State wrestling teams battled tough but fell twice as they opened up 2013 at the Alfred State Duals. They opened the day with a 27-24 loss to Penn College of Technology and then fell 42-16 to Bergen (NJ) CC.
