The women's basketball program continues to be near the top of Region III and Division II of the NJCAA year after year. The Lady Pioneers have appearances in the Region III Division II Final Four in fifteen of the past sixteen years.
In 2008-09, the Lady Pioneers finished 10-14 and had one player named NJCAA All-American, one named Region III Division II player of the year, two named All-Region, and two named All-WNYAC.

The Mercyhurst North East women's basketball team built a 23-point halftime lead en route to a 77-63 victory over Alfred State. The Lady Pioneers fall to 10-11 overall and 1-5 in WNYAC play.
The Alfred State College women's basketball team dropped a back and forth contest 60-52 to Erie CC on Saturday. During the contest sophomore Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) established a new ASC career scoring record of 920 points.
Genesee CC broke a 24-24 tie with a 17-5 run to close out the first half en route to a 88-67 victory over Alfred State on Thursday evening. The Lady Pioneers fall to 10-9 overall and 1-3 in WNYAC play.
