The Pioneers jumped on the board first on the first offensive possession of the game. Jeff Glomb (Buffalo/St. Francis) connected with Pat White (Warren, OH) on a 10-yard scoring play. Glomb and White connected three times in the drive for 83 yards.
Erie held the ball for a majority of the first half but the blue & gold stopped two scoring drives with Sir Aaron Taylor (Lincoln Hall) interceptions. On his second interception, Taylor raced 85-yards to give the Pioneers a 13-0 lead with 6:57 remaining in the half (the PAT was blocked).

Neither team could get on the board in the 3rd quarter trading possessions near midfield.
