Swimming
The Alfred State swimming program has been climbing up the ranks of Region III and the NJCAA each season.
The men's team won the NJCAA non-scholarship National Championship in 2008, finished second in the non-scholarship rankings in 2009, and has been Region III runner-up the past three seasons.
The women's team continues to improve. In 2008, the Lady Pioneers were 3rd at the Regional Championships.
During the 2008-09 season, the men finished 7th overall at Nationals and 2nd at Regionals. Four Pioneers earned All-Region honors. The women finished 9th at the Regional championships.

The Alfred State College swimming team finished up their regular season on Saturday at the Genesee CC Winter Classic. The unscored meet gave the team one last chance to improve on their times heading into the District Championship February 12-14.
The Alfred State College swim team had a successful evening in their lone home meet of the season. The men's team scored 76 points and finished ahead of Erie CC (49) and Jamestown CC (39) while the women finished second with 38 points behind ECC's 63 and ahead of JCC's 35.
The Alfred State College swim team had a strong showing at the Erie CC Inviational on Saturday. The men finished 2nd out of seven teams with 213 points while the women finished 5th with 129 points.
