Michael Caba took over the softball program in 2008 and is looking to make the program a regional championship contender. During his five years at the helm of the program that team has a 51-119 record.
Caba has a bachelor of science degreee in kinesiology from Georgetown College (KY) and a master of arts degree in sports management from the United State Sports Academy.
Caba played baseball all through high school and during his freshmen year at William Penn University (He was primarily a pitcher in high school and moved to catcher at William Penn). He started his coaching career as Alfred State's assistant baseball coach in 2001 prior to joining the athletic department full time in the fall of 2002. Today, Caba is very active in the summer softball community in the southern tier.
In Caba's ten years in the athletic department he has served as the football team's offensive and defensive coordinator, the assistant track & field coach, and as the athletic department's academic mentor.
Caba and his wife, Jen, reside in Hornell with their daughter Morgan and son Jaimen.
