Softball
The Lady Pioneers softball team is aiming for a spot in the Region III Division III Tournament year after year. The Pioneers continue to be competitive as they look to return to the regional tournament.
In 2011, the Lady Pioneers reached double-digits in wins for the third straight season. One player was named All-Region and two players were named All-WNYAC.

Alfred State College Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Steve Tyrell has announced that Dr. Daryl Arroyo has been named the new Director of Athletics, Physical Education, Recreation and Intramurals. Arroyo, who succeeds Kathy Feldman, begins his new duties at Alfred State on June 29.
Alfred State College sophomore softball players Angela Depew (Wellsville) and Amber Harding (Fillmore) have earned All-WNYAC honors. Depew was a 1st team selection while Harding was named 2nd team.
The Alfred State College athletic department handed out the Leadership, Sportsmanship, and Academic awards recently at the college's annual end of year banquet. Cody Dill (Unatego) and Angela Depew (Wellsville) were the recipients of the leadership award, Andy Jones (Milford) and Amber Harding (Fillmore) received the sportsmanship awards, and Alex Farrell (N. Tonawanda), Charise Nankivell (Hornell), and Andrea Presher (Prattsburgh) won the academic awards.
