The Lady Pioneers softball team put together a solid 2007 season that saw them jump near the top of the NJCAA and Region III. The Lady Pioneers were ranked #3 in the NJCAA Division III poll and ranked #2 in Region III early on in the season after winning 14 of their first 17 games.
After struggling a bit the Blue and Gold finished the regular season 16-13 and earned the #7 in the Region III Division III Tournament. The team's first trip to Regionals since 2002.
Nichole Tyler (Spencer Van Etten) and Becky Simpson (Campbell Savona) were named to the All-Region team while Tyler and Becky Waters (Elmira Heights) were named All-WNYAC.

Sat, May 3rd, 2008The Alfred State College softball team had its chances in game two of a doubleheader at Herkimer CCC but were unable to captiatlize and fell 4-2 after dropping the opener 11-4. The Lady Pioneers are now 8-28 on the year heading into their season finale on Sunday afternoon. read more »
