Men's Soccer

Erik Reynolds free kickThe men's soccer program has become a fixture in the Region III Division III Tournament over the past eight years. The Pioneers have been in the Regional tournament each of the past eight years and have advanced to the finals two of the past three years. 

In 2008, the team finished 14-4, advanced all the way to the Region III Championship game, and was ranked as high as #5 in the NJCAA Division III poll.  Three Pioneers were named All-Region and six were honored by being named All-WNYAC.

The new athletic complex, home for pioneer soccer, opened in 2008.

The Alfred State College men's soccer team gave #1 seed Herkimer CCC all they could handle but fell 1-0 to the Generals in a Region III Division III Tournament quarterfinal contest.  The Pioneers, seeded #8, finish the season with a 8-7-1 record.

#8 seeded Alfred State College men's soccer team will travel to #1 Herkimer CCC for a Region III Division III quarterfinal match-up on Tuesday afternoon.  The game is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at Wehrum Stadium.

Kevin Arilotta (Churchville) found Masanari Yamamoto (Tokyo, Japan) with a nice crossing pass with 4:29 remaining in the first overtime to lift the Alfred State College men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over Jefferson CC in a Region III Division III Tournament first round contest.
