The Alfred State Basketball team has become one of the hardest working teams in Region III. The Pioneers have won more than 16 games in five of the past eight seasons and have made six trips to the Region III Division II Tournament in the past eight years.
The 2011-12 squad played tough all season but struggled to pull out victories and finished the season with a 7-21 mark. One player was named 1st team All-Region and 1st team All-WNYAC.

The Alfred State men's basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 66-60 victory over Elmira JV on Thursday evening. The Pioneers are now 7-11 on the season.
The Alfred State men's basketball team fell 76-47 to Genesee CC as the Pioneers continued their five-game roadtrip. The Pioneers are now 6-11 on the year and 0-5 in WNYAC play.
The Alfred State men's basketball team couldn't solve #6 Monroe CC and fell 128-48. The Tribunes are now 17-2 on the year while the Pioneers are 6-10, 0-4 WNYAC.
