Mark Kanellis has been at the helm of the Pioneer lacrosse program the past two years.  In his two years the Pioneers are 5-23 and have had seven players named All-Region and six named All-WNYAC. 

Kanellis played at Nazareth College for the Golden Flyers between 2004 and 2008.  He was a captain of the 2008 squad, played in the North-South game, and was the Block ‘N’ Award recipient.  During his four year career, Kanellis appeared in 56 games and netted 13 goals and five assists.  He also picked up 66 ground balls.

Kanellis has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in economics and sport management from Nazareth and a master’s degree in sport management from SUNY Cortland.

Previously, Kanellis has coached at Cortland High School, served as a camp counselor at the Nazareth lacrosse camp, the Players Choice lacrosse camp, and the All-American lacrosse camp.

Kanellis also serves as the director of intramurals.
