The lacrosse program at Alfred State has been near the top of Region III and the NJCAA for the past decade. The program has made eight trips to the Regional Tournament in the past nine years and eight Pioneers have earned NJCAA All-American honors.
The 2009 Pioneers finished 10-4 and ranked #9 in the NJCAA poll. Five Pioneers were honored with All-Region selections while six players were named All-WNYAC.

Alfred State College men’s soccer and lacrosse coach Todd Weil has resigned from his position in the athletic department. Weil has spent the past four seasons at the helm of the lacrosse program and the last three seasons guiding the men’s soccer team.
