Lacrosse
The lacrosse program at Alfred State has a highly competitive for the past decade. The program has made seven trips to the Regional Tournament in the past ten years and eight Pioneers have earned NJCAA All-American honors.
The 2011 Pioneers had four players earn All-Region honors while three were named All-WNYAC.

During Homecoming 2011, five Alfred State College athletic alumni were inducted into the athletic department hall of fame. Swimmer John Meade, track & field athlete Damian Rodriguez, lacrosse player Matthew Covert, baseball player Joe Greany, and swimmer Ashley Vogl will join the 56 inducted athletes.
Alfred State College Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Steve Tyrell has announced that Dr. Daryl Arroyo has been named the new Director of Athletics, Physical Education, Recreation and Intramurals. Arroyo, who succeeds Kathy Feldman, begins his new duties at Alfred State on June 29.
The Alfred State College lacrosse team had four players honored by Region III and two players honored by the Western New York Athletic Conference.
