Lacrosse
The lacrosse program at Alfred State has a highly competitive for the past decade. The program has made seven trips to the Regional Tournament in the past eleven years and eight Pioneers have earned NJCAA All-American honors.
The 2012 Pioneers worked them back into the Regional Tournament contention with a 7-9 season. One player was named All-Region and three were named All-WNYAC.

The postseason awards for the Alfred State lacrosse team have come in and Mike Hart (Ajax, ONT) was named 2nd team All-Region and 1st team All-WNYAC. Attackmen Chance Lowry (Waterloo) and goalie Brad Stowell (Marcellus) were both named 2nd team All-WNYAC.
Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) of the Alfred State women's basketball team and Keegan Phelan (East Aurora) who played on both the football and lacrosse teams were honored as the athletic department's Freshman Athletes of the Year.
The Alfred State lacrosse team was able to come out on top of a close home contest for the first time this season. The Pioneers defeated #9 ranked Hudson Valley CC 11-10 to close out the season with a 7-9 mark. The Pioneers had lost four close home contests earlier in the season by a combined four goals.
