Intramural Rules: Co-Ed Volleyball

The Game

1. The game shall be played by two teams of six players, 3 male and 3 female.
2. The serving order and positions on the court shall alternate male and female.
3. A team may begin a game with 5 players, at least 3 of which must be female.

Controlling Play

1. There are no restrictions on males or females at the net.
2. If a team hits the ball more than once, both sexes must touch the ball before the ball is returned to the opposing team.

Substitutions

1. Substitutions shall be made when play is stopped.
2. Substitutions must be made on a male for male and female for female basis.
