The Alfred State football program has proven itself as very competitive team in the Northeast. The Pioneers have finished .500 or above in six of the past twelve seasons.
In 2011, the Pioneers won the program's first Region III Championship. The Pioneers used a stingy defense and a timely offense to rack up a 6-4 mark on the campaign. The team had 11 players named All-Region.
