The Alfred State football program has proven itself as a contender in the very competitive Northeast Football Conference. The Pioneers have finished .500 or above in four of the past nine seasons.
In 2008, the team opened up a brand new on-campus field and earned a 4-5 record. Seven Pioneers were named to the All-NFC team.

The Alfred State College football team revenged an early season loss at Erie CC with a 21-15 victory over the Kats to close out the 2009 season. The Pioneers who received a forfeit victory earlier in the week finish their campaign with a 5-5 record while the Kats finish 4-6.
The Alfred State College football team couldn't capitalize on numerous scoring chances and fell 21-7 to #15 Nassau CC in their Northeast Football Conference finale. ASC is now 3-6 (0-5 NFC) while Nassau is 7-2 (3-2 NFC).
Trailing 35-7 with under eleven minutes remaining Alfred State College put forth a valiant comeback but was unable to make it all the way back. Dean College improves to 8-1 (3-1 NFC) with the 35-27 victory at Pioneer Stadium.
