Baseball
The Alfred State College baseball team continues to be one of the most successful programs in Region III. The Pioneers have accumulated over 40 victories in a school year in ten of the last fourteen years. Head Coach Tom Kenney has accumulated over 600 wins since the program was reinstated in 1994.
During the 2009-10 season, the Pioneers had a 28-26 record. Seven players earned All-WNYAC honors and six players were named All-Region.

The Alfred State College baseball team fell 5-4 and 4-3 to Mercyhurst North East as they opened up play in their 2010 fall season. The Saints broke a 4-4 tie in the first game with a run in the bottom of the 6th and used a walk-off single in the 7th to win the nightcap.
Six members of the Alfred State College baseball team have earned All-Region honors. JP Frey (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Jake Dale (Keshequa) were named to the 1st team while Mark Ciccotti (Horseheads), Kyle Barkley (Penn Yan), Brian Zimmermann (Frontier), and Joe Wallace (Avoca) were 2nd team selections.
The Alfred State College baseball team downed Mercyhurst North East 13-8 in the Region III Division II Tournament to keep their season alive but fell 9-6 to Monroe CC in the loser bracket final to see their season end with a 20-20 record.
