Homecoming/Family Weekend Schedule

Alfred State College will host its annual Homecoming/Family weekend Thursday-Sunday, Sept. 16-19, on the Alfred campus. Hundreds of visitors are expected to converge on campus to reconnect with old friends or visit with their students, perhaps for the first time since dropping them off for the fall semester in August.

ASC's 2009 Graduates Garner Placement/Transfer Record of 99 Percent

Fifty-nine percent of the ’09 graduates who responded to the survey are employed, while 40 percent opted to continue their education. One percent remain available for employment. Among those employed, 87 percent are working in jobs related to their college field of study.

Alfred State College's 2009 graduates distinguished themselves again this year by garnering a placement/transfer record of 99 percent.

The employment and transfer figures are based on an annual survey sent to all ASC graduates; 2009's questionnaire netted a 74 percent response rate from surveyed graduates.

Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Anderson, Llewellyn, and Bracket, cut the ceremonial ribbon.Thanks to the generosity of Alfred State alumnus Bret Llewellyn, Buffalo, marketing, class of 1980,  there is a beautiful new art gallery on campus.  The Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery, located on the third floor of the Engineering Technology Building on the Alfred campus, was dedicated recently during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
