The best way to get the inside scoop and really see what Alfred State has to offer is to come for a visit during the academic year when classes are in session. However, we understand that you lead busy lives and summer may be your only option to fit in a college visit. You’re invited to join us for one of our Summer Visit Days scheduled for July 17, 31 and Aug. 7, 14 and 21.
As part of this program, you’ll receive an admissions overview and go on a guided campus tour with one of our student ambassadors. Weekday visits are also available May 26 - Aug. 13 by appointment. Please note we are unable to offer tours July 3, 6, 8, 10, 20, 22 and 24. To schedule an appointment, phone 1-800-4-ALFRED or 607-587-4215. We're happy to personally arrange a visit to best suit your schedule and needs. We ask that you notify us in advance of any special mobility needs.
Before visiting, check out these tips for a successful college visit and questions to ask when choosing a college. You may wish to print our campus map to help you locate visitor parking lots. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
Please note that tours of academic majors are not available during the summer.
For the health of our community, smoking is prohibited on campus except in outside designated smoking areas. See the campus map for designated areas. Students who need help quitting may get assistance from the Health and Wellness Services Office on campus. This policy reduces involuntary exposure to second-hand smoke and facilitates a healthier environment for students, faculty, staff, administrators, visitors, and community members. Thank you for your cooperation.
