International Transfer Students

International students who are studying in the U.S., and would like to transfer to SUNY Alfred, should use the international student application form and follow the same procedures as initial attendance students.  After the student is accepted, the student should fill out the top portion of the school transfer form, sign, and give the form to the current school's international adviser to process the school transfer.

Students that have completed college level coursework and would like to have their courses evaluated for possible transfer credit, must submit the following to Alfred State College:

  • course descriptions for courses to be evaluated
  • and a course-by-course credential evaluation from an approved member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), http://www.naces.org/.

Below are the applications for the service we feel best meets the needs of the applicant and of Alfred State College:

  • To obtain a course-by-course credential evaluation, applicants must submit the following application: http://www.jsilny.com/pdf/foreign.pdf, with all the required fees and transcripts to the above address.
    • Fees from overseas must be in the form of an International Money Order.
