360 Virtual TourThe Nursing Department offers an accredited associate-degree nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) [61 Broadway, New York, NY 10006] that prepares individuals to become Registered Nurses (RNs). The nursing major is designed to be completed in two academic years, but may be revised to meet individual needs. Licensed practical nurses or transfer students from other nursing programs are eligible for advanced placement.

Alfred State nursing AAS graduates may enter directly into the nursing bachelor's degree program. The bachelor's degree program can be completed full time in two years or part time as the student desires. The upper-level nursing courses are offered in a online format. The upper -level course work includes nursing, science, and liberal arts, primarily. Students are invited to campus twice a semester for orientation to the course and to a scholarship day at the semester's end.
