CIAT 6406 - Studio Sorrento

This course is intended as a substitute for either CIAT 6306 (Studio II) or CIAT 8306 (Studio IV) and functions as the primary design studio course for students enrolled in the study abroad semester in Sorrento, Italy. Students will be introduced to concepts of traditional urban design, sustainable building techniques, historic preservation, adaptive re-use of historic structures, and to the metric system of measurement. Emphasis will be on exploration, discovery, and documentation.
