In CIAT 3403, the student builds technically and creatively upon the basic skills of 3D computer modeling and imaging acquired in CIAT 2403. Alias/wavefront's film industry-standard MAYA software will be emphasized on the Silicon Graphics computer platform. In this course, the student becomes technically acquainted with the Windows operating system and learns technical interface-use of the first half of the complex MAYA software. Throughout the course, individual art project work centered on modeling and still image production is the major activity pursued by the student.
