Course content is theory introducing the Building Codes sections that establish minimum standards for public safety, and protect consumers from hazardous design and construction. Emphasis is placed on code topics that govern buildings of light frame construction. Sections on occupancy groups, location and size, construction types, and egress requirements are included.
