Description:
This course expands on the Wood Fabrication Technology I course covering hand and power tools through practical experience using the tools. Students will continue hand and power tools skills development through a series of required shop projects. Each student will build projects that will require shop drawing interpretation and copying pieces from a jig or actual item. Compound bevels and cutting are introduced through a sawhorse project requiring more advanced set ups on the table saw and other power tools than in previous course projects. All tool usage is encouraged (hand and power) to complete these projects. Surface planers and router tables are introduced and more complicated projects are utilized in the course.
