Project-based learning is a cornerstone of our Alfred State culture. When students work on real-world problems, they learn how to think, not what to think. As a result, Alfred State has a 99% employment and transfer rate.

Where do you go from here?

Many of our programs lead to internships with area companies. We also offer job placement services and very active academic advising and counseling. In our most recent placement survey, 99% of our graduates either found jobs or went on to pursue four-year degrees.

92% of those students who entered the workforce got jobs in their chosen field.

As one of SUNY's premier colleges of technology, we're also known for our financial support that makes our education more affordable. In fact, Alfred State typically costs less than half of many private four-year colleges.

Yet we keep class sizes small.
