There are many ways to visit Alfred State and our community. Please explore these options and click the registration links to sign up.

Please note that summer tours are not available on the following dates: July 4, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, 27, 28, Aug. 3, 6, 10, and 17. If you have any questions, please call 1-800-4-ALFRED or 607-587-4215 so that our Admissions staff can personally arrange a visit for you.

Before visiting, check out these tips for a successful college visit and questions to ask when choosing a college. You can also meet our Student Amabassadors and your Admissions Counselor, as well as print our campus map to help you locate visitor parking lots.

Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes! We ask that you notify us in advance of any special mobility needs.

High school students interested in attending Alfred State College in the fall of 2019 or after are invited to attend one of our Summer Visit Days. You will receive an Admissions overview and take a guided tour of the Alfred Campus.

*Tours of academic majors are not available during the summer.

Campus visits during the summer can be scheduled for weekdays during the summer starting Monday, May 21, through August 16 between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. Using the link below, you can schedule your own visit including a guided campus tour, as well as meeting with the Admissions or Financial Aid Offices!

Alfred State welcomes all prospective students to Fall Open House on Saturday, Oct. 20, and Sunday, Nov. 4. These events begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Orvis Activities Center on the Alfred Campus. We invite prospective students and their families to participate in a variety of programs designed to provide flexibility in visiting any area of interest to the student. The event will include information tables, guided campus tours, academic department tours, complimentary lunch, and admissions interviews.

Interested in touring the School of Applied Technology (Wellsville Campus)? The Open House program begins for all students on the Alfred Campus. You will then have the opportunity to drive to Wellsville to visit a specific academic area beginning at 11 a.m.

Registration for Fall Open House will be available Aug. 20.

A detailed schedule for both dates will be available soon.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Orvis Activities Center on the Alfred campus, this event is another opportunity to learn more about the college. Join us as we celebrate your acceptance to Alfred State.

If you're accepted into a program taught on the Wellsville campus, check-in at the Alfred campus first. You'll drive to the Wellsville campus (or other program facilities) later in the day according to your specific schedule.

Accepted students and their families are invited to participate in a variety of programs designed to provide in-depth information and about your intended major. Information tables and representatives from Admissions, Athletics, Student Life, Technology Services, Orientation, Financial Aid, and the Student Success Center will be available.

Guided campus tours of both the Alfred and Wellsville campus will also be available. 

Registration will open Feb. 1 and will be restricted to accepted students only. Check BannerWeb to see if you've been accepted.

In the spring, accepted high school seniors have a chance to spend the night in our residence halls and attend classes.

In the fall, please check back in the fall for the 2019 dates.

Alfred State comes to NYC! The Admissions staff will host accepted students at the SUNY Welcome Center in Manhattan. There will be refreshments, presentations, and information tables with representatives from Residential Services, Student Engagement, the Student Success Center, Admissions, Financial Aid, along with current students to answer your questions.

Registration for the reception will open in February.

We welcome groups to visit Alfred State during the summer! Tours are available weekdays from May 21 - August 17. We ask that you contact the Admissions Office directly by phone 1-800-4-ALFRED (607-587-4215) or online to schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance.

We will do our best to accommodate your requested date. No date for a visit is set until you receive a confirmation from an Admissions staff member.
